AUTHORS’ GUIDE-LINES FOR PUBLISHING THE WG ACTIVITY IN THE INSECT AI ACTION WEBSITE

To be able to feed the Insect AI website with “fresh news”, we need the help of the Action participants.

In particular, among the interesting information worth disseminating, the outcomes of WG meetings as well as distinctive activities are particularly relevant. Therefore, the Dissemination Team invites WG leaders and activity organizers to provide short texts and pictures after each meeting and/or activity carried out within the WGs.

These contributions, which should be submitted within a reasonably short period after the event, are not intended to be in-depth reports. Instead, they should serve as updates highlighting the most interesting points you consider relevant to share, in order to further motivate our members and attract the attention of non-members. These texts will also enable the Dissemination Team to prepare news items for the website.

To prepare the text, please follow the guidelines below:

Title:
Provide a title of approximately 200 characters (including spaces) including:
(i) WG title;
(ii) meeting place or event;
(iii) date(s).

Text:
Maximum length of 2500 characters (including spaces) describing:
(i) goals;
(ii) number of participants/persons involved;
(iii) main outcomes;
(iv) future perspectives;
(v) any other information considered relevant to disseminate.

NOTE:
In the case of meetings involving more than one WG, a separate short text for each WG is required. Joint sessions may also be described where relevant.

English:
Please note that editorial revision will not be provided. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the text is written in correct English.

Pictures:
Provide a maximum of 3 pictures, each with a caption of up to 300 characters (including spaces).

Formats, deadline, and contacts:
The text file (Word format) and picture files (.jpeg, high definition) should be sent within 10 days after the meeting/event to:
rtorres@fruitfly.com
