BionicBlitz: call for tech providers open!
We’re excited to launch BionicBlitz, a new InsectAI initiative inspired by BioBlitz events. The goal: bring together developers, researchers, and the community to explore insect monitoring technologies in action, exchange ideas, and spark collaborations.
How it works
Participation is a two-step process:
- Tech contributors fill in the form below to share what they could bring.
- Based on this, we’ll open a follow-up call for local organisers who can host in suitable areas.
Who can apply?
Hardware developers, teams using automated monitoring systems, algorithm developers—anyone with technology that supports insect biodiversity monitoring and allows for interactive demonstrations.
What will you do
As a tech provider, you will need to:
- be willing and able to travel with your tech (or make arrangements with the local organisers to run your tech demo in loco), during dates that you specify;
- present your tech both to fellow InsectAI members and (potentially) at public events organised as part of the BionicBlitz;
- engage early with local organiser(s) and InsectAI core group in order to facilitate logistics and make the event as mutually beneficial as possible.
What’s next?
The first BionicBlitz events will take place between spring–fall 2026. Travel expenses and part of the organisation costs will be covered by InsectAI.
