Impact

InsectAI is an impact-driven project, seeking to advance the abilities of camera systems for monitoring insects, as well as enabling researchers to use these technologies most effectively to address societies challenges.

We will:

• Work with stakeholders to identify the critical societal needs that can benefit from image-based insect AI technologies
• Initiate and foster collaboration in the development of AI-assisted camera systems for monitoring insects
• Establish pipelines for image collection, processing, and analysis through the development of standards, open-source toolboxes, and training activities
• Pave the way for the integration of image based-AI with traditional data sources and other insect monitoring technologies
