Recommendations for accommodation for an overnight stay in Belgrade before traveling to Niš

If you plan to travel to Niš shortly after arriving in Belgrade, it may be convenient to stay in New Belgrade, as the main bus station is now located there (Block 42, Antifašističke borbe 46–48, 11070 Novi Beograd). Please note that some online sources still indicate that the main bus station is in the city center; this information is outdated, as the station was relocated after many years at its former location. New Belgrade is divided into residential blocks and is not a particularly tourist-oriented area, being mainly characterized by housing and industrial zones. For this reason, we recommend booking a private apartment through platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com for a one-night stay. Prices typically range from 5,000 to 9,000 RSD (approx. 42–76 EUR) per night, with many options available, especially near Belgrade Arena. From these locations, you can use public transport or a taxi service to reach the bus station. Most hotels in New Belgrade are at least 30 minutes away by public transport and usually require changing buses or trams, along with some walking, which may be inconvenient when traveling with luggage.

Alternatively, you may wish to take advantage of your stay in Belgrade and experience a more attractive part of the city by booking accommodation in the Old Town area. While this may involve a longer transfer to the bus station, it offers a more pleasant environment and better access to cultural and historical sites.
